Sesame Street: Old Spice

Love love love =D

Monkeys and typewriters. Costa coffee.

I like the idea of using an age old theory to create an ad.
And this one has a very nice theory and a great visual at the end.
I miss the coffee shops in London and the sight full coffees.

But a part of me, unfortunately, can’t help to think about the fact that
some monkey’s will eat smaller monkey’s and such a blend of species
in unnatural surroundings must be stressful for them.
If I did not know this, I would have been able to enjoy this ad a bit more.

Ley's Kettle Carved Billboard.

To show that their kettle cooked ships are made in the traditional way,
they spent 10days hand carving this beautiful billboard.
An original and remarkable campaign! =) Would love to have taken part. =)

Thinkbox: Everybody needs a Harvey

I have no clue what a Thinkbox is, and this ad doesn't help.
But it is very sweet and quite funny. =)

Kick ass sneakers ballet

This is a very clever campaign. What a way to sell shoes :D
There is several more, so have a look around!

Newsday Ipad commercial

I love this ad. It’s so simple, but so good. And funny.
Just like the best once are!

The last Exorcism - Chatroulette

This ad is utilising the chatroulette concept to advertise for
the film ‘The last Exorcism’. They have created a short film,
which is played for unsuspecting guys that are using
the chat media and this is then again filmed and used for the ad.
The transformation of the girl is well done and the reaction of the guys is funny.
Well worth a peak. Good use of new media to attract attention and advertise! =)

The Allergy

It’s a little bit strange, but it’s original and funny =)
I’m not revealing the content of this antismoking ad, you just have to see it!

Wolkswagen - punch

This is a game I’ve heard of, but never played myself, as it’s not common in Norway. But I’ve got to say, it looks fun =)
Notice that Stevie Wonder and Tracy Morgan makes an appearance at the end.

Dentyne pure: Epic rap battle.

If your trying to impress the waitress, why not do it with a rap battle
against your friend? Now I’m not one to judge what good or bad when it come to rap,
but their arguments are pretty funny.
Maybe a bit to much information… =P

Facebook? No, it's Facepark.

I have been waiting to see if someone would take facebook offline
and use it promotionally, and someone did. =)

Diesel is running a “Be Stupid” campaign, where they encourage people to be stupid,
and smart isn’t cool. They created the concept “Facepark”, where people could
waste their time outside in the park, instead of online.
I will admit, I am a bit of a fb addict, but I do also see the slightly ridiculous side to it.
I think this idea is fun, and would have loved to participate.
The big “poke” hand is great.

Lilac Wine.

A very nice song, and a beautifully illustrated animation.
So lovely!!

McDonalds - baby in the car

This is the sweetest McDonalds ad I’ve ever seen.
At first you might think there’s something wrong with this man or his car,
but then you find out he has a sleeping baby in the back.
It’s so nice how they work together =)

HBO: Cube Film Installation

Wow!
What a great idea. A really interesting way to display the film, and captivate
the audience. I wish I could have seen it live!

Dinner Plans, Vonage phone company

This one starts out a bit predictable (in the copy), but saves it and become funny
at the end. “Please don‘t make me say dressy”.
Also a good visual. Could have been an ad for long distance as well.
As in other side of the world - up down! =)

Answer 3 questions

Some good advice =)

You can say anything with a smile x3

This is really silly, but it works! =P
I couldn’t help but smile as I was watching if.

Human Dominoes

I’m not a beer drinker, so this isn’t the ad for me.
But I like the visual of it, and would not mind seeing it over and over again.
It’s fun and it's playful =)
A flash mob possibility?

Inamo, an interactive Restaurant in London's

This restaurant is really something special!
You can change the design of your table, play games on the table
and order from the table.
I’m definitely going there to experience this and of course the food. =)

The streaker

To promote a partnership between Portugal’s biggest football club and the biggest Portuguese bank a stunt was created.
We have all seen a streaker run across the football field as the police
chase him/her. But instead of pinning this guy down, they lift him up
and start celebrating =)
A good way to reach the audience at the football stadium which created
a buzz and got attraction from other medias and was further publicised by this.
I like it =)

Revolutionary design! The BOOK! =D

It’s about time someone said it =P
This is a revolution to be talked about, and fun! =D
It’s Spanish, but with English subtitles.

Wolkswagen - the slide

Wolkswagen has done it again =D
It look so much fun, a good ambient!!

I absolutely loved the piano stairs that was crated in the fun theory,
and now they have created a fun way to get down the stairs.
I proposed the same from a Uni project earlier, but healt&safety in Uni shut
me down. At least it’s good to know that it was a valid idea that would have
given the desired outcome =)

CarphoneWarehouse: History of communication

Nice stop motion animation =)

Solidarités International: Water talks

A really great water poster, providing information about itself.
Fascinating to watch, and good to remember for future projects!

Large scale advertising painters

Walking around cities, you can still se the traces old the old school adverts, where they would paint directly on the wall.
Until I found this clip, I thought this art was dead.
But as it turns out, it isn’t. Which is great!
The work they produce in this clips is a thing of beauty. At the end you will see that the image changes with the sunlight as it touches on different angles.
This is a lovely, lovely way to advertise which I hope will make a strong come back!

Oh, and if you happen to miss it. The film is sponsored by Stella Artois

A sneak peak at some lingerie.

This is the first lingerie ad I’ve seen, and liked.
And I really like it.
They are drawing attention to the store, before it even opens.
As you are invited to have a sneak peak at the ladies as they walk
around, there it causes no offence to any conservative members
of the public, and the once that enjoy the view, can hang a round
for a bit. As we can see one man doing in the film.
Great idea and implementation.
I’m sure their first week open will be quite busy. =)

Another Chrome ad

And while I’m on the subject of Chrome, how cute isn’t this?
Very nice stop motion animation which simply and clearly,
as well as cleverly explains the features in Chrome.

Chrome features

With this ad, I like their use of material, and the revealing of how the browser simulation was done.
But as much as I like it, this doesn’t feel like one collected ad.
I think this would work much better as separate ads, one for
each feature. If this is what they intended, then I like it, but it
doesn’t state that it is so. So I’m a little bit disappointed by the
disruption that the introduction of each feature creates.
I wish they would have used a similar type for continuation in this ad, as they did for this one.

Planemob

You’ve probably heard of flash mob.
This is the little brother of that concept; Planemob,
brought to you by Germanwing

Nice and simple ad, which makes you smile, and as you can hear
in the end of the ad,make the people viewing the ad ’live’ laugh.

Drama queen

Wow. That is one really really bad kid!
An effective ad, I’ll give them that.
It would also work very well as a condom campaign along this ad:
Use condoms

Smoking: toxic waste

I have seen many anti smoking ads and campaigns,
but non similar to this. They have taken a unique approach,
and are telling a storywhere a company is dispose of their
toxic waste, through cigarettes. They are implying that
smokers are poisoning their body, and pay for it.
The boardroom, and attire of the actors make this ad believable,
and you could imagine this to be that start of smoking.
I like the way they have created an ad, which tells the story about
how bad smoking is, but does so subtlety, and with finesse.

Audi: Unboxed

BBH has created a simply beautiful ad for Audi.
An animated line drawn man builds the Audi Q5 out of a cardboard box, illustrating that the makers of the Audi Q5,
have ‘unboxed the box’.

The illustration in simple and elegant, and the movements
of the cardboard box are delicate and beautiful to watch.
This is an ad I’m happy to see again and again.

The song ‘take me riding’ complements the animation very nicely,
and completes the ad.

Flax lodd (Instant Lottery) Frosty morning

A lovely ad from, you guessed it, Norway =)

At first the man seems like the biggest as, but it turns out well =P
Enjoy!

Jeeps have special parking places =)

An old outdoor campaign where fake parking spots where made
to show the roughness of the car, showing that you can park it
on any terrain. =)

Very nice and simple campaign which I'm sure would make
any Jeep owner smile.

David Carson on design + discovery

Carson talkes about his work and found images.
Very nice, and often quite funny =)

Old Spice: The man you man could smell like

I like this ad, because, I see it as a clever spin of the old car ads for men.

Those ads spoke to the simplicity of a man;
Beautiful woman next to car - man buy car - man thinks he will get woman.

But this ad speaks to the complexity of a woman and her ability to fantasise…
Hot man selling Old Spice - woman buy Old Spice - her man smells like Old Spice - woman thinks of the hot man on TV when she smells her man.

I wonder what men think of this commercial…

Durex - get it on.

Another condom ad, but this one is more colourful and fun.

Stratos chocolate

I remember this ad when it was shown in Norway many years ago.

What a sweet ad, which doesn't really sell the product, but is remembered.

Use condoms

I have a strong love hate relationship with this ad.
From a creatives view, I think it's great.
The point get throught in a simple, and very clear way.
No one want's this experience, and it certainly does not
give you a strong desire to have a child.

But on the other hand, I really don't like watching it.
I hate listening to the screaming child, and the ad never fails
to give me a headace.
Which, I guess, only proves the effectiveness of it =)

Google Chrome extensions

It feels a bit strange to see an moving ad for a web browser,
but I like the design of it.
The visualisations are feel delicate and look quite cute.

Am I wrong when I read the use of a camera on a train track as an indication to say that everything is running smoothly?
If this was there plan, then it is a very nice and subtle touch.
=)

Always wear your seatbelt!

A beautiful ad encouraging the use of seatbelt, visualized in a moving way.

Knitted ad!!

Absolutely beautiful ad for natural gas.
Inspiring!

Wardburtons Bread ad

I've got to give it to Wardburtons Bread, they really really care about their bread. This is true commitment to the job!

Mini "Moustache" ad

A cute and funny Mini ad.
There are two more in the series, so have a look at them aswell.
A great use of humor! =)

The last advertising agency on earth

The ancient story of survival, adapt or die, told in our age of new technology.

The story is told as if this is an event which has happened. Do to lack of adaptation and willingness to adhere to the consumers new found media and interest, the advertising agency’s have all perished.

I like this ad because it makes a valid point about adaptation, new media and consumer choice without preaching for agency’s to change. It is suggesting how the future will be if we do not change.

“Don’t torture our aquatic life”

is the tagline of Earth Choice, which is a cleaning product.

This ad shows people performing everyday tasks,
cleaning their house, but the products they use has been changes,
with good effect.
The dishes are done with a starfish, floor is scrubbed with and octopus, the toilet is cleaned with a duck and the shower is cleaned with a mantaray.

The message is clear and the ad hits home.

Barnardo’s: interactive poster

Barnardo have created an interactive poster where, when you donate, the image will change.
The expression on the girls face is breathtaking, and the slight change is moving.

I love the new use of this media and how it makes suffering, which is so easily ignored, more personal and imidiate. The change in the poster is a instant reward for the audience, and the donation will be a long(er) term reward, as it will be going to a child in need.

Pepsi vs. Coke: Vending machine

A simple ad from Pepsi, where they use their competitors, Coca Cola product to make the point.

According to http://creativecriminals.com/, this ad was banned.
Have a look =)

I just love Imgfave

So many great photo's, so much inspiration and so many
good quotes.
I would paste everything over to my blog, but that would take a lifetime, so take a look at this blog! =)

Careerbuilders casual friday?

If it's mandatory, it can't be casual!

Nike

Just lovely =)

An old favourite from Kims

This ad was on TV in Norway many years ago. =)

As he is leaving the store, he takes the wrong bag with him.
And we see the consequences.

The tagline is 'No Kims, No joy' or enjoyment.

Go Goldfish GO!!!

Pedigree Catch

So many lovely doggies shown in slow motion. I can’t help but love this ad =)
